What's new for 2026?

The 2026 version of the Volvo XC60 will come with a larger grille as well as a new diagonal pattern and the taillamps get a subtle darkening of the taillight shroud. The XC60 will have new wheel options and three new exterior paint colors including Forest Lake, Mulberry Red and Aurora Silver. One of the most significant upgrades is the infotainment system that will provide a new 11.2-inch touch screen in place of the outgoing 9.0-inch display.

Power and Performance

The new 2026 Volvo XC60 will be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that employs a 48-volt hybrid system, creating a combined 247 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. Power is channeled to an eight-speed automatic transmission along with standard all-wheel drive. The XC60 corners in a precise manner and the chassis feels solidly-planted.

The new Volvo XC60 puts a high priority on comfort which results in a suspension system that softens imperfections in the road. Volvo reports that the new XC60 will have a zero-to-60 time of 6.9 seconds for the standard B5 turbo-four powertrain. The EPA estimates that the XC60 is expected to deliver about 22 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway.

Trim levels

Reports indicate that the 2026 Volvo XC40 will continue to offer the same four trim levels as the 2025 version: Core, Plus, Ultra and the Ultra Black Edition. The Core will come with synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, power-adjustable front seats with two-way lumbar support, power-folding rear-seat head restraints, a 12-inch digital instrument panel, and a new 11.2-inch touch screen. The Plus adds a surround-view camera system, 19-inch alloy wheels and adaptive cruise control.

The Ultra will provide quad-zone automatic climate control, 20-inch alloy wheels and Nappa leather upholstery. The Volvo XC60 Ultra Black Edition will build on the standard Ultra trim and add a range of blacked-out exterior and interior design elements.

The new 2026 Volvo XC60 comes with a standard 11.2-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hot spot, satellite radio, and a 10-speaker stereo.
